Multi-Colored Thermal Pattern Bluestone Patio

Here are a few photographs showing the progression of a bluestone patio built in Elk Twp. during the summer of 2008.

For starters, we formed up a three feet wide concrete sidewalk as a defining border for the patterned blue stone. As you can see, we had also installed an interior French drain to facilitate maximum draining efficiency.

Upon Pouring the concrete border, we brought in the base material. Our base consists of 5 to 6 inches of 3/4 inch trap rock power tamped, with an additional inch and a half of srceenings (stone dust) in which the stones are pounded into place.

Each stone is hand selected at the stone yard to determine integrity of strength and to insure a level of beauty in the materials.
